TANZANIA WIN THE LAST HARD FOUGHT GAME IN ZIMBABWE

ZIMBABWE TOUR ; MATCH 6 ; Tanzania wins by 3 wickets.; In what was undoubtedly the best performance from Tanzania in the series, the 6th and last game of the tournament was a real test of character for the boys. Rhino''s winning the toss and elected to bat first had a shocking first over with Harsheed Chouhan picking up 2 early wickets and sending T.Musekiwa and T.Chipvongodze back to the pavilion. However, a lethal partnership between Mkhululi Tshuma and Bright Masiwe skyrocketed Rhino''s score to 80 runs in just 9 overs. The Rhino''s had an upper hand despite the shock in the first over and were looking at a score of 180+. Tanzania''s bowlers needed to show character and they well did with a breakthrough provided by Kassim Nassoro as he dismissed Tshuma in the 10th over with the score of Rhino''s being 86 runs on the board. That kickstarted the attack and after showing his prowess with the bat, Jatin Darji dismantled the middle order of Rhino by finishing with figures of 3-11 (4 overs). Kassim Nassoro also bowled well finishing with the figures of 2-16 (4 overs). Rhino''s batting collapsed and were all out for 104 in 16 overs. A brilliant display of bowling in the whole tournament by boys. Tanzania had a different opening batting partnership for this game with Abhik Patwa resting. Zafar Khan and Jatin Darji partnership didn''t last long as Zafar Khan was dismissed early in the 3rd over. Entered Jitin Pratap Singh who was yet to find the form in the series and it was the right kind of a game for one of Tanzania''s best batsman to find his form back. Despite the loss of wickets at separate intervals, and a formidable partnership with Kassim Nassoro in the middle overs, Jitin P. Singh Controlled the inning and finishing it in style with a six to bring up his 50 in 40 balls. The half century being Tanzania''s first and only Half century in the series. Tanzania chased down the target in 17.3 overs. The win ended the series in the loss of 4-2 to Rhinos. Though the experienced gained during this tour is truly invaluable. A big thank you to Midwest Rhino''s for being terrific hosts and play some awesome cricket. And to our boys, WELL DONE!
