It was a fitting finale to an exciting second season of Nashville Premier League. Put in to bat OHL was on back foot losing 2 wickets in the first over. Their star batsman, Madan got out without even troubling the scorers. One man who soaked up pressure and stood like a wall amid high quality fast bowling was Aghilesh - dealing in only one's and two's until 9th over. In the last three overs he opened up to scored 55 runs and taking his tally to 64(45) with 2 fours and 5 sixes. OHL ended up 84 of 12 overs. NCC started pretty bad losing wickets at regular interval. At the end of 7 overs they were 33-5 looking to lose the game but Ashan from NCC had different ideas, held his nerve to score 35(23) to take NCC home with 2 balls to spare. |
