Match started on time at 9.10 am at the Cedar rapids ground, match was delayed for 10 minutes due to due on the ground. ISU won the toss and decided to bat first. ISU kept losing wickets at one end while Deepak was playing his shots and was maintaining the run rate at over 6. ISU were 96/6 during the 15 over break. Deepak got out soon after the break for a well made 49. Salman carried it from there and made 42 runs. ISU were all out on the 27th over for 165. Yasar was the pick of the bowlers for CRK with the figures of 6-2-19-4. Himanshu got 3 wickets. CRK started well on the 1st over with Siva hitting a six off the 1st ball of the innings but couldn't continue for long, CRK kept losing wickets, Srikanth steadied the run rate by hitting 3 sixes but perished soon after that. CRK were in trouble and were at 84/6 during the break with Nithin and Amer at the crease. Nithin was holding one end while Amer started going big, the duo made a 50 run partnership before Nithin(19) and Amer(52) got out. ISU were back in the game by picking up 3 quick wickets, CRK needed 6 runs with 1 wicket in hand, Rakesh and Yasar helped CRK cross the line in the 27th over. Usman picked up 3 wickets and Deepak got 2 wickets. Amer from CRK was the MOM for a match winning innings of 52 runs. |
