On a perfect day for cricket, IBL won the toss and elected to bat first. Mangesh went after the new ball, bowling attack right away and the bulls got a very good start, scoring at almost 10 runs/over (67/0 start of 7th over). ISU bowlers didn't panic and managed to stay on the game plan and picked up the important wicket of Mangesh after his blitz of 49(28) in the 7th over. From here, ISU bowlers slowed down the scoring rate and managed to pick up occasional wickets. At the end of the innings Bulls were able to get to a formidable total of 176 setting a target of 177 for ISU to chase. ISU got a very good start to their chase starting off with a 109 run opening partnership between Deepak and Rajeeva. Then Rajeeva fell for a well compiled 38(44) then Deepak followed after making 54(40). However with wickets in hand the rest of the chase was well managed by ISU batsmen chasing the total down in 23 overs. Pick of the bowlers for ISU: Salman, Parth and Deepak all had 2 wickets each. Pick of the bowlers for IBL: Beenu had 3 out of the 4 wickets for IBL. Man of the match was awarded to Deepak Navi for giving a good start with the bat scoring 54(40) and for picking up 2 wickets, 2 catches and a runout while fielding. |
