Scruffy Nails and Rattling Nerves but Entertainment at Best:
I woke up Sunday morning a bit late and had to go to San Jose to get some waivers signed. As I was driving I checked the score card and it read 186 in 20 overs and without a drop of caffeine in me I was wide awake and I am sure my blood pressure also touched the ceiling. Strikers put a gigantic total on board. Strikers with an outstanding opening combo by Ravi K and Bhargav S played a key part in giving a good start. Winning the toss Strikers decided to bat first. The top order declared a war against Outsiders’ opening bowlers by ripping them apart. Ravi K (38 off 32 balls with 5 6’s) and Bhargav S (29 off 15 balls with 2 4’s and 3 6’s) thrashed their bowling all over the park. It was followed by a blistering knock by Kotesh scoring 53 runs in just 28 balls with 2 4’s and 6 6’s seems like new year’s fireworks show for Strikers. Outsiders’ were in shock when I reached the ground.
This is where the entertainment was set to level 10. In reply Outsiders had a decent start, openers gave a good start until Sanju who got out at 16, followed by 3 quick wickets which left top order limping towards the score. I remember Sanju saying to Murali and Venkat that “try and get as many runs as possible”. Little did he knew that they will be providing more than he could chew. Muralidhara N partnered with Opener Venkat for 104 runs patnership. Both the players played with temperament hitting the bowlers for sixes and fours all over the park. Passions were flying high. At one point victory which seems like a 1000 miles away suddenly seemed plausible until Sree Y took the wicket of Venkat at 65. This put brakes on the scoring. However Murali dint give up and continued his hitting which again was brought to an end by Sree Y. At last Strikers did hold on to their nerves restricting Outsiders for 175 runs.
Both teams did justified my previous post “Clash of Titans” as it was a worth watching the clash between these teams, FCA should start selling tickets if both teams clash again in later part of tournament. In years to come in FCA, people will look at the scorecard of this match and presume that Strikers and Outsiders played nothing more than a magical entertainer. This is what makes cricket and FCA special in Jacksonville. This is what makes us play better and good cricket.

Easy Runouts cost Jaguars:
Royals fielding department put up a power packed performance, something which we ignore much. Losing in form players like Hari and Kalyan for easy run outs and Kiran for a lightning quick stumping by Bala, Jaguars were struggling at one stage. However Ram S boosted Jaguars score by 2 huge sixes pushing the score to 77. They did not play their quota and were all-out in the 18th over. In reply Bala started a rapid-fire innings hitting the ball for 6’s. he quickly raced to 32 and was taken by a brilliant bowl by Raju D. Though Raju and Mumuksh could slowed down the score board with their bowling attack but they could not stop the attack by KK. With lot of experience behind he picked up the balls in right slot departing them outside boundaries and cruised towards victory in 13 overs. It was a bad day for Jaguars and am sure they will be bouncing back for next game.

All Round Rajbabu Routs South Side on first Outing:
Winning toss Southside has asked Kaatans to bat first where their top order batsmen fired on South Side bowling attack. Rajbabu scored 33 runs in 32 balls with 1 4 and 2 6’s with a 3 wicket hall, ensured a comfortable win for his team. Divyesh’s scorching inngins of 25 in 12 balls ensured Kaatans with a score of 139 runs on board. In return Punit and Srikar fought hard as their top order and middle order got out cheaply. Once Srikar got out by Rajbabu it was Sudhir’s turn who supported the innings scoring 29 runs off 19 balls eyeing for a win, though it wasn’t that easy as Akash got him out in 16th over cealing the match for Kaatans. It was a good match but bad day for Southside. It’s time for Southside to re-group and come back strong. Rajbabu stared in getting a win for his team Kaatans against SouthSide
