DHAHRAN — The Eastern Province Cricket Association tournament, played under the banner of Al Markb United T20 and sponsored by Al Markb in the memory of late Sikander Kamal Farroqui, witnessed some wonderful matches in third week. In Premier Division, Honda Hurricanes CC outplayed Pan Gulf CC by 41 runs. HHCC posted the total of 168-7 in 20 overs, Mohsin smashed 52 off 36 balls, Kashif Riaz grabbed 3 wickets. PGCC was restricted to 127-9 in 20 overs, Yaseen made 26 off 21, Imran Arif and Farhan Khan grabbed 2 wickets each. In another match, SB Dilnawaz CC defeated Marooj Stars CC by 99 runs. SBDCC posted good score of 221-5 in 20 overs, Nazim Abbas smashed 88 not out off 40 balls and Umar Butt made 40 off 19. Nadeem, Raja, Aamir and Faran grabbed 1 wicket each. MSCC was restricted to 122 with Shahid scoring 30 off 23 balls. Kashif and Anwar grabbed 3 wickets each. Pak Saudi CC beat Honda Redbacks CC by 40 runs, with PSCC posting 187-7 in allotted 20 overs. Shafiq Sr. smashed 51 off 42 balls, and Nasir scored 37 off 30. Asif Ali took 3 for 26. HRCC tallied 147 in 20 overs. Azeem scored 46 off 22 as Nasir grabbed 2 wickets. SAQ Hunters PTI CC defeated FireOx CC by 8 wickets. FOCC posted total of 164-9 in 16 overs. Hammad scored 53 off 32 and Riaz scored 33 off 25, as Mohsin Saleem grabbed 4 wickets. SHCC chased the target in 14 overs, Iftikhar scored 81 off 41, Qayyum smashed 57 off 28, and Rana Wahab took 2 wickets. KG Karachi Strikers CC defeated Bilal Tigers CC by 7 wickets. BTCC posted 143-7 in 17 overs. Munawar smashed 35 off 21, as Shafqat and Noman grabbed 2 wickets each. KGKSCC then chased the target in 16th over, Rizwan scored 64 off 39, as Bilal grabbed 2 wickets. DHL Express CC defeated AAC CC by 5 wickets. AACCC posted the score of 171-8 in 20 overs, Sajid Khan scored 36 off 18, as Asif Mughal grabbed 3 wickets. DHLECC chased the target in 19.5 overs. Asif Mughal scored an unbeaten 43 off 36 as Kareem grabbed 2 wickets. In Prime Division, Zalmi United CC defeated ECI SSQ Bin Delamah CC by 12 runs, ZUCC posted 191-5 in 20 overs. Raif scored 66 off 49 balls, Umair Awan smashed 58 off 35, as Waqas grabbed 2 wickets. ESBDCC managed to score 179-9 in 20 overs. Farasat scored 59 off 50, as Salman took 3 wickets. On Dot Freight CC won against Aur Pak Shaheen CC by 5 wickets. APSCC posted 157-9. Noman scored 33 off 26, as Ibrahim grabbed 3 wickets. ODFCC won in 19.1 overs. Mahesha Narayana scored 115 not out off 63, as Wajahat grabbed 2 wickets. Jana Marine Young Guns CC beat Ever Green CC by 1 run. JMYGCC posted 194-6 in 20 overs. Arsalan scored 72 off 48. EGCC managed 193 in 19.5 overs. Arfan scored 80 off 45, as Suhaib, Waseem and Rehan took 2 wickets each. KGK Islamabad Strikers CC defeated Mangalore CC by 71 runs. KGKICC posted 254-3.
