On chilly Sunday morning Gully captain Eshwar Gowda won the toss and elected to bat. Gully raced to a good start thanks to Eshwar’s brisk 37 who was run out going for a non existent second. Vishnu and Vinod Kumar capitalized on the good start with Vinod Kumar getting to his fifty in no time. Karthik helped Gully reach 178 with some brisk hitting in the end. Om’s chase was cut short by some good new ball bowling by Sathya and Renganathan. Om lost wickets regularly and at the end managed to score 142 with Kashif Rana top scoring with 26. Sathya and Sanjay picked up two wickets each for Gully. Vinod was adjudged the Man of the match. |
