2012-05-30: KUCC lost the opening match to CCI by a huge margin (224 Runs). Team has confidence to bounce back in the next match against CICC2 on 6/2 @ Columbus, IN.

| 2012-05-15: MCT 2012 Update - KUCC will be playing the first league game on 5/19 against CCI @ Indianapolis, IN. There are totally 3 Groups and KUCC is in Group 3. KUCC will be playing 11 games in the league stage.

KUCC registered their first win in the ongoing Mid west cricket tournamnet by beating MCC by 17 Runs. Overall all round performance by the team. Team did played the game with 10 players. KUCC won the toss and decided to bat first on a very overcast condition and slight drizzle of rain. As the game progressed rain faded out completely and the runs where pouring down from the KUCC openers. Both the openers Balaji and Saradhi took time to settle down and once they had their eye in the runs where flowing. This was the teams best opening stand in the tournament with a 103 run stand. Both the openers reached their half century. After the openers were departed Srini Sr. Surya, Francis, kittu and Srini Jr. chipped in with runs and made the team total to 172 at the end of the 35 overs. Again the rain came down quite hard and the game was halted for 30 minutes and all the D/L calculations were made and the cloud again seemed to be pretty much overcast. For MCC to win by D/L they should score 77 runs at the end of 20 overs with no loss of wicket. With a slight drizzle the second half started and the MCC openers were on fire. At one stage they were crusing with 80/0 at the end of 11 over hopping for a rain to end the game at the end of 20 overs. Then the magicall spell from Srini Jr and Kiitu stooped the runs and also started talking wickets. Kittu was so luck to get rid of the attacking opener with a very wideish deliver to edge it to the keeper. This opened the door for KUCC. Then Srini Jr. came in to the act of picking up the wickets with his slow blowing. Eventully he picked up 3 wickets in a span of 3 overs. Srini brothers were in act for the first victim of Srini Jr. The fielding efforts were lifted by Francis and Nani who stopped so many singles and Nani produced a magicall runout out of no where. As the wickets were falling kiitu figures were 7 Overs 15 runs and 2 wickets stopped the runs flow for MCC. Then Balaji took a simple catch to dismiss the well settled middle order batsman of the bowling of Saradhi. Then the tail was cleaned up by Balaji which produced the first win for the KUCC. Saradhi and Srini Jr were declared the MOM. |
